The Underdog: Nikon D3100

20 Feb

If you’ve been around me lately then you know that I’m desperate, rather thirsty for a digital SLR camera. Preferably a Nikon, because I feel like its not as trendy as Canon. (Shrugs), I mean what do I know? I just like photography. Anyhow, the new D3100 is the upgrade to its predecessor the D3000. Its equipped with 14.2 megapixels, 1080 HD video (for all you video lovers), and a nice little grip that was very much needed. It’s probably the most smallest, affordable SLR on the market, but don’t sleep! I hear this thing is not to be taken lightly.

Pharell and Chelsea Lately: Hot-N-Fun?

8 Jul

Pharell was on the Chelsea Lately show recently discussing his new animated movie “Despicable Me” (which I had no idea he was in), but you learn something new everyday. Before the commercial break Pharell requests to see Chelsea’s “behind” It was sure worth it. She has a little rump.

Asher Roth: Tony Braxton

6 Jul

Off his latest mixtape “Seared Foie Gras(with Quince and Cranberry)” Asher drops his second single titled “Tony Braxton” I guess the title stems from him actually grinding on Tony Braxton in Vegas at some event. Quite frankily, I don’t blame Asher. Toni is a bad milf, sister and singer. If I were single in Asher’s position, I can’t say that I wouldn’t have done the same thing. Kudos to Asher. Here’s the animated video for the single, its pretty comical.

#NowPlaying “The Crowd” by Elzhi.

5 Jul

Most of you may be unaware of who Elzhi is, he’s part of the Detroit group Slum Village. You know, the group that brought you hits like “selfish” and “tainted”. If that doesnt ring a bell you’re more underground than he is. (Laughing out loud). But this track is off his mixtape “Leftovers” which dropped sometime last year. This song just happens to be one of my favorites off the tape. Once you hear the production and his lyrics you’ll understand why I dig it. If you haven’t heard it, dont fret you can download it here or listen here

YMC Fall/Winter 2010 Collection

5 Jul

London’s own YMC (You Must Create), presents their Fall/Winter collection via Highsnobiety. I’ve been following the brand for a while. I grew fond of their shoes, which unfortunately never came in my size, but I’m a fan nonetheless. The simplicity and construction of the brands’ apparel is just outstanding, no? I have family out in London, I think I’ll be paying them and YMC a visit very soon!

I must say I’m digging the Billionaire Boys Club’s Fall/Winter look book. There’s a few pieces that I need in my repertoire. Click here for more looks.

Hi haters, Im back off hiatus!

Sigh…

Man, where do I start? I haven’t blogged since Winter. (Shaking my head). Well, for those of you who are interested, I’ve been getting myself together. I enrolled in school, completed a semester, now I’m on the verge of returning to Gotham (New York), but don’t get too excited, I’m still on the fence about it. I love Chicago, but the Big Apple is calling me…

Lupe Fiasco A.k.A Blitzen

20 Dec

So Lupe is on a roll this year. He’s been very productive lately, from releasing his mix tape (Enemy Of The State) this past Thanksgiving to preparing to climb mount Kilimanjaro in January 2010 to help fight the global clean water crisis. Now Mr. Fiasco shows us his holiday spirit with this new commercial for Nike, he plays a reindeer muppet by the name of “Blitzen.” Check it out!

Ralph Lauren: You’re The Man! (LOL)

17 Dec

I only posted this because of the model’s ensemble, it reminds me of myself during the cold winters; camp socks, ranger boots(Polo), slim denim, puffer jacket and a nice wool or cashmere sweater. It’s all about the layers! If you’re having trouble putting together a winter outfit here’s a prime example of one. Keep it simple this winter.

Jay-Z: Empire State Of Mind Video

30 Oct

I’m sure most of you heard Jay’s “Blueprint 3″ album, so you’re familiar with the “Empire State of Mind” song featuring Alicia Keys. Which to me is my third favorite song on the album, my favorite song of them all on BP3 is “Thank You” Great song, Jay! If you’re from New York, you can definitely relate to this track, if not you can just admire the song (shrug my shoulders), I mean it’s a phenomenal song. Don’t you agree? Peep the video, it’s more exciting than this post. You saw it here first! (I think?)
